Citrix Licensing Experts is an independent Citrix licensing firm. We work for enterprise buyers and nobody else. We negotiate Citrix agreements, defend audits, restructure ELAs, and optimize license positions, and we are paid only by the client. No reseller margin, no vendor referral fees, no incentives that point anywhere except your side of the table.

Why an independent Citrix licensing firm exists

The Citrix market changed permanently when Cloud Software Group took ownership in 2022. Perpetual licensing ended in October 2022. Renewal increases of 50% to 200% have been widely reported since, often with short notice windows. File based licensing ended on April 15, 2026 with the mandatory move to the License Activation Service. Audits and license reviews are rising as customers try to reduce spend or exit. As of June 2026, buying Citrix is an adversarial process, and most enterprises walk into it without anyone in their corner.

Resellers cannot fill that gap. Their margin comes from the vendor, so their advice bends toward the deal that closes, not the deal that serves you. We built this firm to be the counterweight: advisors who know exactly how the vendor playbook works and have no financial reason to soften it.

What we do

Our practice covers four service lines, described in full on our services page: Citrix audit defense, Citrix ELA negotiation, Citrix contract and renewal negotiation, and Citrix licensing advisory and optimization. Behind those services sits a deep research library covering Citrix audits, Citrix enterprise license agreements, Citrix negotiations and renewals, Citrix licensing fundamentals, the License Activation Service and the 2026 changes, Citrix DaaS licensing, NetScaler and adjacent products, and Citrix alternatives and exit planning. We publish what we know because informed buyers negotiate better, with or without us.

How we are different

Three things define the firm. First, independence: 100% buyer side, always. We hold no reseller or vendor affiliations and never will, because the moment an advisor takes vendor money the advice stops being advice. Second, insider knowledge: our senior advisors have vendor side backgrounds in licensing, audit, and enterprise sales. We know how compliance findings are constructed, how discount authority actually escalates, and what quarter end pressure does to a locked price. Third, evidence: every position we take is built on your entitlements, your usage data, and benchmarks from hundreds of comparable agreements, not on opinion.

Where we work

We serve clients worldwide from New York, London, and Sydney, covering every major time zone. Engagements run remotely or on site, in English, across North America, EMEA, and APAC. Typical clients run from a few hundred to tens of thousands of Citrix users in healthcare, financial services, government, higher education, retail, and manufacturing.

What working with us looks like

Every engagement starts with facts. We baseline your entitlements, deployments, and actual usage before anyone talks numbers. Then we build leverage: benchmarks, credible alternatives, and timing. Then we negotiate, alongside your team, through every round until the terms are right. Outcomes are quantified, and results from past engagements are published as anonymised composites on our results page.

Confidentiality is absolute. We never name clients, and the vendor never learns we are involved unless you decide that disclosure helps the negotiation.

Frequently asked questions
